Dean and Dereks' TV work is rooted in their stone business, Stearns Stone Works. When they are not doing a program shoot or making a presentation chances are they are trying out new tools & techniques on commercial or residential jobs. For over 25 years they have been perfecting their craft on jobs throughout New England.

Stearns Stone Works was founded in 1959 by Arthur Stearns. Since 1987 his son, Derek Stearns and nephew, Dean Marsico have carried on the tradition of quality stone work. They are one of the few stone contractors recommended by Plymouth Quarries for their stone veneer work.

Their unique experience ranges from “classic” stone mason techniques learned from their old school apprentice days, to the latest high tech stone products from their highly successful TV Show “Rock Solid” currently seen on the DIY Network, or their work on the "Victory Garden", for PBS.
